Policy & Procedure
PAPYRUS believes many young suicides can be prevented and that everyone can play their part in suicide prevention. No matter what your role is, if you are worried about someone and think they could be suicidal, ask.
Your organisation should have a policy detailing the relevant people or organisations to talk to if you are concerned someone’s life is at risk of suicide. Familiarise yourself with the policies and procedures in your work place so you know what to do if someone tells you they are suicidal.
If your organisation does not have a procedure following a disclosure of suicidal thought and/or intent, PAPYRUS can offer advice and guidance on the development of a policy – call us on 01925 572 444.
